Queens, NY - The Wagner baseball team fell to St. John's, 8-2, in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday at Kaiser Stadium.
The Seahawks gained an early 1-0 lead in the third, but the Red Storm responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning and never looked back.
Junior Matthew Kenney recorded the lone RBI on the day with a seventh inning single. It was one of seven hits on the day for the Green & White. Senior Lukas Torres supplied two hits on the day.
Five pitchers relieved senior Julian Taudin-Chabot, with each of them not allowing an earned run. Overall, the Red Storm compiled 12 hits and struck out six times.
The Seahawks fell to 8-13 on the year and have a huge weekend series ahead of them at CCSU.Â
Wagner will be looking to exact revenge against the Blue Devils after last season's Northeast Conference (NEC0 Tournament championship game loss. First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
