Staten Island, NY - Trailing 51-34 with 8:53 remaining in the fourth quarter, The Wagner College women's basketball team rallied to cut the FDU lead to just three points but it wasn't enough, as the Seahawks fell 59-51 to the Knights on Saturday.
Junior Semie Brar tallied all 10 of her points in the second half to get Wagner back in the game. Freshman Kiera Edmonds also poured in 12 points to go along with seven rebounds.
The Knights earned two wins against the Seahawks in as many tries this season, the loss brings Wagner to 6-21 overall and 3-12 in conference play.
Trailing 49-34 with 9:48 remaining in the fourth quarter, Wagner outscored FDU 17-5 to cut the deficit to 54-51 with 2:00 remaining.
The Knights closed the contest on a 5-0 run to earn the victory.
Wagner will wrap up the regular season on Thursday, March 7 at Merrimack. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
