Fairfield, CT - The Wagner College softball team dropped its doubleheader against Sacred Heart on Saturday.
The Seahawks fell to Sacred Heart 1-0 in the first game before dropping the second game with a score of 3-1.

The Seahawks held the Pioneers scoreless in the first five innings of the game before Sacred Heart scored its first and only run in the bottom of the sixth.
Freshman pitcher Karson Zavala had another solid performance with six innings pitched and only giving up one hit. Zavala handed out three strikeouts while facing 24 batters.
Junior Justine Caranza led the Seahawks with two hits at the plate..

The Pioneers jumped to an early lead in the bottom of the first scoring their first and only runs making the score 3-0.
Freshman Sydney Chargualaf started the rally for the Seahawks in the top of the fourth inning with a single to left field before junior Kate Wold drove home the first run of the day with a single to left.
Senior Sam Tran singled to left field in the top of the seventh in an effort to keep the game alive but the Seahawks fell short with a final score of 3-1.
Sophomore Natalie Rodriguez faced twenty-five batters in six innings only allowing four hits while handing out two strikeouts.
The Seahawks are back in action tomorrow as they face Sacred Heart for the third and final game of the series.
