Baltimore, MD - The Wagner College softball team dropped its doubleheader at Morgan State on Sunday.
 The Seahawks fell to Army 3-0 before dropping their second game to Morgan State with a score of 9-1.
Game 1 Recap: Army 3-0 Wagner
The Seahawks held Army scoreless in the first four innings of the game before Army scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth.Â
In the top of the seventh inning Wagner tried to start a late rally with hits from freshman Sydnie Trujillo and Lea Rachal but would fall short as they were stranded on base.Â
Freshman pitcher Karson Zavala had another solid outing in the circle handing out seven strikeouts while facing 24 batters and only walking two.Â

Morgan State jumped to an early lead in the bottom of the first scoring one run before scoring another run in the bottom of the second inning.Â
The Seahawks would answer back in the top of the third as sophomore Payton Janicki collected her sixth RBI on the year, scoring sophomore Jordyn Dulken.Â
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Morgan State scored seven more runs making the final score 9-1.
Next up, the Seahawks will begin conference play as they take on the Sacred Heart Pioneers on Saturday, March 16.Â
