College Station, TX - The Wagner baseball team suffered a seven-inning, 21-2, loss to #8 Texas A&M in its series finale on Sunday afternoon at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The Seahawks mustered just one hit on the day in the shortened outing. Sophomore Zack Kent recorded the lone hit, generating two runs in the fifth on his double to left center.
On the mound for the Green & White, senior Julian Taudin-Chabot earned the start. The Cheney, WA, native lasted 1.1 innings before head coach Craig Noto brought in junior Andrew Stanley out of the bullpen.
Overall, the Seahawks used ten pitchers on Sunday, with senior Nicholas Hanson lasting the longest with 1.2 innings of work. The freshman duo of Keith Davis and Matthew Moconyi both pitched 0.2 scoreless innings.Â
Wagner will return to the East Coast for Tuesday's mid-week matchup at Seton Hall. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
