Philadelphia, PA - The Wagner College women's basketball team dropped the opening game of the Hawk Classic to UAB, 79-39.
In the opening frame, the Seahawks shot 5-14 from the floor as freshman Drew Jordon led the Green & White offensively with four points.
The Blazers put a stamp on the contest in the second quarter as they outscored the Seahawks 26-6. Four of Wagner's six points in the second frame came from inside the paint.
UAB took a 43-16 lead into halftime.
UAB outscored Wagner 24-7 in the third quarter as junior ASemie Brar tallied a team-high four points in the frame.
The Seahawks outscored the Blazers 16-12 in the final 10 minutes, seven players for the Seahawks tallied at least one point. Wagner shot 5-11 from the floor in the final frame.
Semie Brar led the way for Wagner offensively with 10 points.
The Seahawks will wrap up the Hawk Classic on Thursday, December 21 against the University of New Hampshire at 11:00 am.
