The Trojans plated across two runs in the opening frame. Halsema singled up the middle that brought in R. Thomas. The next batter, Adrian Colon-Rosado singled through the right side that brought in D. Smith as USC went up 2-0.

Following a scoreless second, USC tacked on four more runs in the bottom of the third, as Halsema tagged up from third on the sacrifice fly from Lopez.

Guillemette came in following a wild pitch before Lozano clubbed a two-run home run over the left-field wall, making it a 6-0 lead.

Wagner cut into the lead with two runs in the top of the fourth that made it 6-2. Faiccho led off the frame with a walk before moving the second on the fielder's choice. Selby singled to right-center before Melfi powered double to left-center, which brought in both Mateo Matthews and Selby.
