Madison, NJ – The Wagner women's fencing team earned four wins at the Drew Invitational.
The Seahawks earned a 4-1 record at the competition on Sunday.
Against the hosts Drew, the Seahawks earned a 17-10 victory. Wagner earned a 7-2 victory in the foil and sabre competition before falling in the épée competition 6-3. Senior
Ava De La Cruz went 3-0 in the foil competition while sophomore

Fanny Straub went 3-0 in the sabre competition.
Against Army, the Seahawks earned a convincing 23-4 victory. Wagner swept the sabre competition before winning the foil competition 6-3 and the épée bout 8-1. Senior walk-on
Yasmin Teekasingh went 2-1 in her first collegiate victory.
Wagner fell to Stevens 18-9 as the Seahawks fell in all three bouts.
The Seahawks earned a close 15-14 victory over NJIT as Wagner earned 5-4 victories in the épée and sabre competitions. Simons Nedyalkova went 3-0 while senior
Lauren Foley went 2-1 in the épée competition.
The Seahawks earned a 22-5 victory over the Clemson club team as the swept the foil competition. Wagner also earned a 7-2 victory in the épée boui and a 6-3 victory in the sabre competition.

Fanny Straub went 12-3 on the day for the Seahawks.
"Today's results clearly showed how strong when we fence as a team and support each other all the way around," head coach David Sierra said. "Whenever we had a slip up, we regrouped, refocused and motivation each other to a great finish on the day."
The Seahawks will continue its fall season on Sunday, November 5 when they will compete at the Penn State Garrett Open.
