Elijah Ford's three at the buzzer sent the game to overtime and classmate
Alex Morales scored 12 of his career-high 35 points in the extra period to give the Wagner College men's basketball team a thrilling 92-85 road victory at LIU on Friday night.
With the victory, the Seahawks improve to 11-2 on the season, 7-0 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play, and extend their win streak to eight games while snapping the Sharks' four-game win streak.
Morales finished with 35 points, 12 rebounds, four steals, and three assists, becoming the first Division I player since 2018 and just the fourth over the last decade with at least 35 points, 12 boards, 3 assists, and 4 steals in a game.

Raekwon Rogers tied the game on a three with 10 seconds to play. On the ensuing possession, LIU's Ty Flowers knocked down a three to put the Sharks back up by three, before Ford's tough buzzer-beater tied the game at 75-75 and sent the game to overtime.
Up 78-76 in the extra frame, Morales scored the Seahawks' next 12 points, as Wagner outscored LIU 17-10 in the overtime period to earn the comeback victory.

Will Martinez finished with 14 points apiece, while Ford was the fourth Seahawk in double figures with 13 points on the night.
The Seahawks once again held a big edge in the paint, outscoring the Sharks 46-24.
For the game, Wagner held LIU to 28-73 (38.4%) shooting from the field while converting on 30-67 (44.8%) of field goals offensively.
Next up, the Seahawks will travel to Merrimack on Sunday, January 23, with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 pm.
