Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team wraps up the regular season with a final Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament tune-up on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. against the Merrimack Warriors from Hameline Field.
Wagner officially clinched the #2 seed in the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament last Wednesday, and will host Long Island University (LIU) at Hameline Field in an NEC Tournament semifinal next Wednesday, May 5, at 3:00 p.m.

In the first-ever game between the two teams, Wagner doubled up Merrimack, 22-11, back on March 20.

Madeline Seims had seven goals and nine points, both career-highs, to lead the Seahawks. Seniors
Stefani Peluso and
Erin Kerstetter, as well as sophomore
Megan Greco all finished with six points: Kerstetter had six assists, Greco scored six goals, and Peluso scored four goals and handed out a pair of helpers.

Maria Henwood scored a career-high four goals in a 16-13 win for the Seahawks over Saint Francis U on Wednesday afternoon in Loretto, PA. Senior
Erin Kerstetter finished with a hat trick and two assists, giving her a career-best 29 for the season, and sophomore
Megan Greco notched her second straight hat trick, and fifth of the season.

Madeline Seims scored twice and added a career-high four assists, classmate
Stefani Peluso added a pair of goals, junior
Ally Turner scored one and assisted on another, and graduate student
Megan Drum scored once.
Reigning NEC Defensive Player and co-Player of the Week
Kasey Dorney caused a pair of turnovers and garnered eight draw controls; it was her fifth straight game with multiple caused turnovers and fourth straight game with at least eight draw controls.
About Merrimack
Merrimack enters Saturday 3-10 on the season, 3-8 in NEC play, including a 15-3 win over Central Connecticut on Wednesday.
Meghan Dzialo leads the team with 42 goals and 46 points; she had four goals in the game back on March 20. Haley Bartlett is second on the team with 29 goals and 40 points. Catherine Mahanna and Sophie Scearbo both scored twice in the March 20 contest.
Gabby Cacciola has started 10 of Merrimack's 13 games in net, including eight of its 11 NEC affairs. She's posted a 13.67 goals against average and .441 save percentage thus far this season.
