Staten Island, NY – The Wagner women's lacrosse team posted its largest margin of victory of the season on Saturday, knocking off Saint Francis University 19-4 on Senior Day from Hameline Field.
Senior

Megan Greco and senior
Stefani Peluso each netted hat tricks, freshman
Kelsey Scheidel scored her first two career goals, and senior
Erin Kerstetter scored once while assisting on four others.
Junior
Kasey Dorney once again stuffed the stat sheet with two goals, two assists, six ground balls, six caused turnovers and nine draw controls. Graduate student
Megan Drum, junior
Maria Henwood, and sophomores Lindsay Maclachlan and
Sarah Shaughnessy all scored as well for Wagner.
On the back line, junior
Aileen Hannan caused four turnovers and scooped four ground balls, while graduate students
Lindsay Haas and
Isabel Glace each finished with three ground balls and a turnover.
In goal, junior
Lauren DiStefano made five saves and sophomore
Jillian Olsen made four saves in 13 minutes in her first action as a Seahawk.
Catherine Russo (two), Emileigh Scott (one), and Hannah McDermott (one) all scored for Saint Francis. Elyssa Enrique finished with 10 saves in goal.
How it Happened:
Goals by Greco, Kerstetter and Dorney put Wagner up 3-0 within the opening six minutes.
After Scott got one back for the Red Flash, Drum, Seims, Peluso and Henwood each scored, putting Wagner up 7-1 at the 11:18 mark; seven different players scored the Seahawks' first seven goals.
Seims and Peluso sandwiched their respective second goals around a goal by McDermott, putting Wagner up 9-2 at the half. After Russo notched her first of the game to open the second half, Dorney and Peluso added their second and third goals of the day, respectively, less than a minute apart.
Russo added her second of the day with 24:15 left in regulation, but Greco sandwiched two highlight reel goals around Seims' hat trick-completing goal. First, from a near-stationary position on a free-position attempt, the sophomore whizzed one into the top corner, then completed her hat trick after intercepting a pass on a Red Flash clear attempt before going behind the back to put it in the back of the net, sending the Wagner sideline and handful of fans in attendance into a frenzy.
Seims tacked on her fourth of the day, putting Wagner up 15-4, before Scheidel added her first goal of the season; she later added her second of the day in-between goals from Maclachlan and Shaughnessy's first as a Seahawk.
With Long Island (LIU) idle, Wagner moved into a tie with the Sharks for second in the Northeast Conference (NEC) standings, with the Seahawks owning the tie-breaker.
