Loretto, PA – The Wagner women's lacrosse team scored early and often against Saint Francis, then held on during a late comeback attempt by the Red Flash Wednesday afternoon in a 16-13 win for the Seahawks from DeGol Field.
Junior
Maria Henwood scored a career-high four goals, leading a group of seven different goal scorers for the visitors; senior
Erin Kerstetter finished with a hat trick and two assists, giving her a career-best 29; sophomore
Megan Greco notched her second straight trick and fifth of the season.

Madeline Seims scored twice and added a career-high four assists, classmate
Stefani Peluso added a pair of goals, and graduate student
Megan Drum and junior
Ally Turner each scored once; Turner added an assist as well.
Emileigh Scott scored a game-high five goals and Livia Baker registered a hat trick, adding an assist, to lead the Red Flash offense.
How it Happened
Henwood scored off a free-position attempt less than a minute into the game, and Greco made it 2-0 less than a minute later.
Peluso and Drum each followed with goals of their own, putting Wagner up 4-0 less than six minutes in
The Red Flash responded with a three-goal run, holding Wagner scoreless over the next 10+ minutes, but a tough goal in traffic from Henwood ignited a three-goal run for the Seahawks in less than two minutes, capped by goals from Seims and Kerstetter.
The teams traded each of the next four goals, with Kerstetter and Seims answering scores from Baker and Scott. Kerstetter capped off the half with her hat-trick completing goal.
Henwood and Turner each scored in the opening minutes of the second half, pushing the Wagner lead out to seven, 12-5.
The Red Flash answered with three straight goals and five of the next seven, but a free-position goal by Greco and Peluso's second of the day kept the Seahawks comfortably in front.
With under seven minutes left, Greco completed her hat trick and Henwood followed 38 seconds later with her fourth of the day.
Saint Francis scored the final three goals of the game down the stretch, but it was not enough, as Wagner ran its winning streak in the series to four games.
