Fairfield, CT – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team look to get back in the win column this weekend as the Seahawks hit the road for a 1:00 PM Northeast Conference (NEC) clash Saturday, March 27, with the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
Wagner-SHU History
Sacred Heart leads the all-time head-to-head 10-9, but Wagner's won each of the last six, most recently in 2019 by a final of 18-5.
Wagner was in command throughout that 2019 contest, opening a 6-0 lead less than 10 minutes in to the game.
Madeline Seims scored five goals,
Megan Drum added a hat trick,
Victoria Tucci handed out three assists and
Erin Kerstetter handed out two.

Kasey Dorney scored a pair of goals off assists from senior
Stefani Peluso, as both tied for the team lead with two points. Drum, Tucci, Kerstetter, and sophomore
Megan Greco all added a goal as well.
Defensively, junior
Aileen Hannan finished with game-highs of five ground balls and three caused turnovers, freshman
Ryan Murphy scooped two ground balls and caused a turnover, and graduate student
Giaci Vitolo added a ground ball and a caused turnover.

The Pioneers are fresh off a comeback win over Merrimack last Wednesday, twice rallying from two goals down in the second half for a 15-14 win
Lydia Werlau, the team's leading scorer, had four goals and two assists in Wednesday's win; Grace Reinold, the team's third leading scorer, notched a hat trick on Wednesday.
