North Andover, MA – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team carries a three-game Northeast Conference (NEC) winning streak into a road contest with the Merrimack Warriors on Saturday, March 20.

Wagner-Merrimack History
Saturday's game marks the first matchup ever between the two teams; Merrimack made the transition to Division 1 prior to the 2019-20 season.

Last Time Out For Wagner
The Seahawks doubled up Bryant, 12-6, on March 13.

Senior Erin Kerstetter, the reigning NEC Player of the Week, scored four goals and finished with seven points for the second straight game; she's currently among the Top 10 in Division 1 in goals per game. Graduate student Megan Drum notched her second hat trick of the season with senior Victoria Tucci and sophomore Megan Greco each scoring two goals for the Seahawks.

Defensively, junior goalie Lauren DiStefano registered 10 saves, posting a second straight game with a save percentage above 62 percent, earning conference Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Junior Aileen Hannan, the current D-1 leader in caused turnovers per game, added five more to her season total, scooping four ground balls as well. Graduate student Lindsay Haas and junior Kasey Dorney also forced a pair of turnovers each.

As a team, Wagner enters the weekend among the Top 10 scoring defenses in D-1.

About Merrimack
Merrimack brings a 1-1 NEC record into Saturday's game. They fell in a non-conference affair to Holy Cross in their last time out on Wednesday, March 17.

Meghan Dzialo leads the team in goals and points (14) and draw controls (16), Halye Bartlett is second in goals (nine) and points (12), and Ally DaCosta leads the team in assists (10), rounding out the double-digit point-getters for the Warriors.

Gabby Cacciola has started every game in net for Merrimack, averaging just under 7.5 saves per contest.

Up Next for Wagner
The Seahawks return to Grymes Hill for a 3:00 p.m. opening draw with Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday, March 24, in the first game between the two since the 2019 NEC Championship Game, which Wagner won, 7-6.
