Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College men's basketball team picked up its second consecutive home victory, earning a wire-to-wire 93-51 win over Delaware State on Monday night at the Spiro Sports Center.
With the win, the Seahawks improve to 5-2 overall and 3-0 at home on the season, while the Hornets fall to 2-10 this year. The win also marked the 149

Alex Morales contributed 15 points and seven rebounds. Freshman

Will Martinez was the fifth Seahawk in double figures with 11 points and a game-high five assists.
Morales scored eight of Wagner's first 10 points, as the Seahawks jumped out to an early 10-2 lead and never looked back. Defensively, Wagner held Delaware State to just 27.8% (5-18) from the field in the first half and just 1-8 shooting from long range throughout the entirety of the contest.

Elijah Ford, the Seahawks built a comfortable 56-20 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Seahawks extended their lead, outscoring the Hornets 37-31 to earn the victory, as 10 Wagner players recorded points on the night.
As a team, the Green and White held a commanding 43-25 advantage on the glass while dishing out 22 assists and forcing 23 turnovers. Offensively, Wagner shot an even 50% (16-32) in the first half and 45.6% (26-57) throughout the game.
Wagner will close out its non-conference schedule with a contest at Fairfield on Thursday, December 23, with tip-off scheduled for 2:00 pm.
