Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's basketball is set for their home opener on Tuesday afternoon as they welcome Colgate to the Spiro Sports Center. The Seahawks went 2-1 to start the year while the Raiders enter play with a 1-3 record.
WAGNER ATHLETICS SPECTATOR POLICY...
- In accordance with New York State and New York City guidelines the Wagner College Athletic Department has announced the following spectator policy for all indoor athletic competitions:
- All guests will be required to wear masks
- All guests over 11 years old must show proof of vaccination
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult
- Physical tickets must be picked up on game day (can still be purchased and reserved in advance)

WAGNER IN HOME OPENERS...
- Tuesday's contest marks the 52nd home opener in the history of the program as Wagner is 29-21 all-time.
- Last season, the Green & White earned a 62-51 home win against Northeast Conference (NEC) rival, St. Francis Brooklyn.
SERIES BREAKDOWN AGAINST COLGATE...
- Tuesday's contest marks the 16th all-time meeting between the two schools with Colgate holding a 11-4 edge in the head-to-head series.
- These two teams last met back on December 22, 2019, in which the Raiders earned a 74-58 victory over the Seahawks in Hamilton, NY.
- Emilija Krista Grava had 17 points and 12 rebounds in that contest.
EKG COUNTDOWN TO 1,000...
- Senior forward Emilija Krista Grava netted a season-high 26 points against Brown on Saturday and needs just 26 more to become the 25th member of the 1,000 scorers club at Wagner College.
SCOUTING COLGATE...
- The Raiders enters play at 1-3 on the season. Colgate dropped its season opener at Cornell (53-34) before earning a 61-52 home triumph over UMBC back on Nov. 13. Colgate will look to stop a two-game losing streak when they take on Wagner.
- Three Raiders are averaging double-figures, led by Alex Brodie, who is pouring in 12.0 ppg. Sophia Diehl is netting 11.8 ppg while Taylor Langan is averaging 10.3 points per contest. Langan leads the team with 6.7 rebounds a contest.
- As a whole, Colgate is averaging 54.5 points per game and shooting 36.2 percent from the field and only 29.2 percent from three-point range.
