Hackensack, NJ – Sophomore 
Tyrone Nesby IV scored a career-high 25 points and recorded eight rebounds, but it wasn't enough, as Fairleigh Dickinson earned a 106-73 victory over Wagner on Thursday night at the Rothman Center.
With the loss, Wagner falls to 5-18 overall and 2-10 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play. The Seahawks now sit three games behind a playoff spot, losing ground to the Knights, who improve to 7-16 overall and 5-7 in NEC action.
For Nesby, it was the first 20-point game of his two-year collegiate career, while junior 
Elijah Ford joined Nesby in double figures with 15 points on 5-8 shooting. Junior 
Will Martinez added nine assists along with four points.
After both teams traded baskets to open the game, a three-pointer by junior 
Alex Morales with 15:44 gave Wagner a 7-4 lead. The Knights answered back, extending their lead to double figures with 7:42 to play in the first half.
Wagner's best scoring run of the night came late in the second half, as two baskets by Ford and a Nesby layup gave the Seahawks a 6-0 run with 5:48 remaining, but FDU closed out the game to earn the victory.
Jahlil Jenkins scored 31 points to lead five Knights in double figures as the Knights combined for 16 three-pointers as a team on the night.
The Seahawks, who were limited to just eight players due to multiple injuries, held a 15-5 advantage in second chance points, while FDU outrebounded Wagner 35-31.
Next up, Wagner travels to Merrimack on Saturday afternoon, with tip-off set for 4:00 pm in a game that will be televised on ESPN+.
