West Long Branch, NJ – The high-flying Wagner College women's lacrosse team, winners of three straight, and featuring a pair of current Northeast Conference (NEC) weekly award honorees, will face a major test when the Seahawks travel to Monmouth of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Association (MAAC) on Wednesday in a 3:00 pm start that will be streamed live on ESPN 3.

On Sunday, Wagner ran past UMass Lowell 17-3 in its lone game of the week in improving to 4-2 on the season. For their efforts in the win over the Hawks, sophomore midfielder
Madeline Seims was named Co-Offense Player of the Week while senior defender
Kirsten Monte was tabbed the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
Seims poured in a career-high five goals, while also leading Wagner with four draw controls. Four of Seims' five scores came in the first half as the Seahawks galloped out to an 8-0 halftime lead. In addition, the Westbury, NY native added two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Monte also played a huge role in Wagner's dominating win, spearheading a defensive effort that blanked the River Hawks in the first half in holding them to just three goals on the afternoon. For the day, the Plymouth Meeting, PA product recorded career highs with seven ground balls and four caused turnovers, each of which were also team highs.
The Seahawks are led in scoring by sophomore midfielder
Erin Kerstetter with 18 points (12g, 6a), in addition to a team-best 33 draw controls, which computes to 5.5 per game, a figure that ranks 27th nationally. Seims is second on the team with 15 points (15g), while senior defender
Maggie Jent paces the Seahawks in caused turnovers with 10. In goal, redshirt senior
Kelsey Fee boasts a 9.36 goals against average and a .485 save percentage.
In NEC play, Wagner leads the NEC in points per game (15.67), while ranking second in goals per game (11.83) and caused turnovers per game (10.67).
In Monmouth, the Seahawks will be facing a team that also brings a 4-2 record into Wednesday's game. Last season, the Hawks finished the regular season in a four-way tie for first place at 6-2 while going 8-10 overall.
