Kirsten Monte is a battle-tested veteran with 49 game of experience under her belt who is expected to once again be on the Seahawks’ defense leaders in 2019.

2018: Contributed to the NEC Championship team by starting all 20 games …. Credited with 19 groundballs and 15 caused turnovers on the season …. Had two caused turnovers in five different games … Career-high four groundballs vs. Manhattan (3/18) … One of six Seahawks honored for inclusion on the prestigious 2018 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll ... Member of the NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2017: Saw action in 18 games on the season with 10 starts … Versatile performer who amassed 15 groundballs, 12 caused turnovers and 10 draw controls on the season … Had a career-high three groundballs on three different occasions, came up with a career-high three caused turnovers vs. Mount St. Mary’s (4/14) and a career-high three draw controls vs. Stetson (3/16). 

2016: Saw action in nine games for the 2016 NEC Champions … Credited with four groundballs and two draw controls … Career-high two groundballs vs. Saint Francis U (5/1).

Before Wagner: Played at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School under Ellen Reilly where she was a four-year varsity starter … First-Team All-League … Academic All-American … Team MVP and league Offensive Player of the Year in her senior season of 2015 … Registered more than 150 career goals … Participated on the soccer team as well where she helped lead her team to the Suburban One League Conference Championship  … Sister, Roxanne, played lacrosse at Iona from 2004-2008.
