Emmitsburg, MD – Winners of four straight games, the Wagner College women's basketball team embarks on a brief two-game road trip, beginning on Monday evening in Emmitsburg, MD as the Seahawks clash with the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers.
Wagner is looking for its first season sweep of the Mountaineers since the 2009-10 season, in which the Green & White earned a 64-63 road win at Knott Arena (2/4/10) and two days later, a 64-57 triumph on Staten Island.
The Seahawks, who are averaging 73.8 ppg during its current four-game win streak, are in search of their first five-game win streak that last occurred during the 1997-98 season as it was part of a longer six-game win streak, spanning from February 14 through March 4 of 1998.
Mount St. Mary's enters tonight's contest looking for back-to-back wins after snapping Robert Morris' conference-unbeaten streak, defeating the Colonials 61-55, on Saturday afternoon.

Last Time Out For Wagner:
- Trailing 41-34 at halftime, the Wagner College women's basketball team open the third quarter on an 11-2 run and outscored Central Connecticut State, 36-21, in the second half as the Seahawks pick up their fourth straight win, a 70-62 victory, at the Spiro Sports Center on Saturday in a game that was seen on ESPN+.
- This marks Wagner's second season sweep of an opponent for Wagner, after claiming the regular season series from LIU Brooklyn last weekend. The Seahawks' four-game win streak is the longest since the 2002-03 season, in which the Seahawks rattled off four consecutive victories from February 18 (vs. CCSU [74-60]) to March 1 (at St. Francis Brooklyn [81-61]).
- Four Seahawks scored in double digits on the afternoon, led by sophomore guard Khaleah Edwards, who tallied a team-best 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting, which was highlighted by a 3-of-5 marksmanship from three-point range. Classmate Joellen How, junior Jordan Hobson and senior guard, Nakylia Carter, each scored 11 points on a combined 10-of-22 shooting from the floor and shot a collective 50.0 percent from beyond-the-arc.
- Reigning NEC Player of the Week, Taylah Simmons, finished with eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds while adding five assists and four steals. The Melbourne, Australia native streak of double-figure scoring came to an end at 12 straight.
- The Blue Devils were paced by Andi Lydon and Kiana Patterson, as Lydon led all scorers with 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting while Patterson added 16 in 35 minutes of play. Bruna Vila Artigues added nine points in 32 minutes.
- CCSU went ahead, 41-34, to end the first half as they shot 68.2 percent from the field (15-of-22) and 62.5 percent from three-point range while the Seahawks shot 42.0 percent and 53.8 percent from beyond-the-arc in the first half. How and Hobson led the charge, scoring 16 of the 34 points in the opening half.
- The Green & White opened the third quarter on an 11-2 run, in retaking the lead, 45-43, as sophomore Alayshia Dailey was able to bank one in off-the-window. Lydon knotted the game at 46 after her three-pointer rattled in at the 5:27 mark before How responded with a mid-range jumper to retake the lead. Dailey was able to get to the hoop again and tie the game 52-52 with 12 seconds showing in the frame. In the fourth, Edwards began to heat up, drilling home Wagner's first five points in the quarter before Simmons added two from inside-the-paint in upping the Seahawks' lead to 59-52.
- Patterson pulled CCSU to within five, 60-55, at the 5:34 mark, but Wagner was able to score ten of the final 17 points in holding on for the eight-point win and claim the season series from the Blue Devils.
Inside The Wagner | Mount St. Mary's Series:
- Monday's contest between the Seahawks and the Mountaineers is the 59th all-time meeting with Mount St. Mary's holding a 41-17 edge in the head-to-head series.
- Wagner is looking for its third season sweep of an NEC opponent, as the Seahawks took the first meeting of the year, 92-76, back on January 19 at the Spiro Sports Center.
- In that contest, five players from both sides scored in double figures with Harrison leading the way for the visiting Mountaineers with 16 points on 6-of-17 shooting. Settle notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Wagner's Taylah Simmons led all scorers with 28 points on 9-of-12 shooting, which also included a 10-of-13 marksmanship from the free-throw line.
- The Seahawks are looking for their third straight win over the Mountaineers and are looking to complete the season sweep of Mount St. Mary's for the first time since the 2009-10 season in which Wagner won at Mount St. Mary's, 64-63 on February 4, 2010 and followed up with a 64-57 victory on Staten Island two days later.

Wagner is looking for its first five-game winning streak since recording five straight from February 18 through March 4 during the 1997-98 season. Additionally, that streak was part of a longer six-game streak, as the Seahawks defeated Monmouth, 58-56, on February 14 which started the consecutive win streak.
- Against CCSU on Saturday, Simmons didn't score in double-figures for the first time since being held to six points at Stony Brook back on December 15 (12 game span).
- At 7-5 in NEC-play, Wagner currently sits in fifth-place in the league standings, and are a game-behind St. Francis Brooklyn for the final home playoff spot as the Terriers enter Monday with a 8-4 league mark. The two teams split their regular season meeting, with Wagner earning a 87-85 thrilling home win back on February 11.

Scouting The Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers:
- The Mountaineers, who are currently two games behind Wagner in the NEC standings at 5-7 (11-12 overall), stopped a three-game losing streak with arguably one of the biggest wins for the Mountaineers this season, as the Mount upset previously undefeated, Robert Morris, 61-55, on Saturday afternoon at Knott Arena. RMU entered play at 11-0 in league contests.
- The Mount trailed by three at halftime, 29-26, and outscored RMU, 35-26, in the second half and 19-12 in the fourth quarter in picking the seven-point win. Three Mountaineers scored in double figures, led by Jatarrikah Settle's game-high 21 points. She also added six rebounds, six assists in 38 minutes of action. Bridget Birkhead chipped in 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting while Michaela Harrison, a five-time NEC Rookie of the Week selection, dropped 13 points despite being held to just 3-of-11 shooting from the floor.
- The Mountaineers rank third in the league in scoring at 67.2 ppg.
- Juliette Lawless, who was limited to just 12 minutes in the win over Robert Morris on Saturday, currently ranks fourth in the conference in scoring at 16.7 ppg while Harrison is tied for eighth at 13.3 ppg. Harrison is tied with LIU Brooklyn's Brandy Thomas for the scoring lead among all freshman.
