About Colgate:
  • The Raiders, who enter play at 7-3, conclude their non-conference slate against the Seahawks.
  • Colgate is in the midst of its best start in program history.
  • To begin the season, Colgate rattled off five straight wins over NJIT, UMass Lowell, Cornell, Yale and Canisius. They've added victories against Niagara and Siena.
  • The first two setbacks came in back-to-back road contests, dropping a 61-51 decision at Saint Louis and a 73-44 defeat at Northwestern.
  • Two weeks ago, Colgate traveled to Tuscaloosa where they fell to Alabama, 72-52. Taylor Langan led the Raiders with 14 points and five rebounds.

Road Bump:
  • Sunday's contest at Colgate is Wagner's fifth road game of the season as the Seahawks will look for their first win of the season away from Staten Island.
  • In their previous four contests, the Green & White have averaged 54.8 ppg, 30.0 rpg, 11.8 apg and caused 23.0 turnovers.
  • Overall, Wagner will look to stop a six-game road losing streak, as their last win away from Grymes Hill came on February 23, 2019 at Fairleigh Dickinson, when the Seahawks defeated the Knights, 60-44, in Teaneck, NJ.
  • Individually, freshman Alex Cowan leads the Seahawks in points (19.3 ppg), assists (1.8 apg), rebounds (5.5 rpg), and minutes played (32.5 mpg) in Wagner's four road tilts.

Seahawks Over The Last Five Games:

  • Wagner is netting just 58.4 ppg over its last five games while being held to under 35.0 percent shooting from the field and just 30.3 percent conversion rate from long-range.
  • Junior Khaleah Edwards, who has played in four of the Seahawks last five games, has averaged 14.0 ppg while pulling down a team-best 6.5 rebounds in the games she has played during this recent five-game stretch for Wagner. The London, England native is shooting 46.8 percent from the field (22-of-47) while hitting on 44.4 percent from the outside (12-of-27), highlighted by back-to-back games of making 3+ three-point field goals.

Full Strength:
  • The Wednesday night game at Rider marked the first time this season that the Seahawks had all 13 members available for head coach Heather Jacobs

  • Starting the fourth quarter, Heyward drew a foul thirty seconds into the period and made her first two attempts at the line.
  • At the 7:57 mark, she once again drove the lane and converted from the line.
  • In total, Heyward finished with a career-best nine points, on 2-of-3 shooting from the field while hitting on 5-of-5 from the charity stripe in 11 minutes of action.
