Cobb Eclipses 1,000 Points
In Wednesday's loss to La Salle, graduate student
Curtis Cobb III scored his 1,000
th career point with a three-pointer with 13:35 to play in the second half. After scoring 687 points in two years at Fairfield and 193 points in one season at UMass, Cobb eclipsed the milestone in his seventh game in a Wagner uniform.
Morales Leads The Way Again
Junior
Alex Morales led the Seahawks with 17 points in Wednesday's contest. Morales has scored in double digits in seven out of nine games, including four straight games, and has been the lone Seahawk to start every game this season. In Saturday's loss to Hartford, the junior scored a season-high 19 points and is averaging 13.4 points per contest.
Fletcher's Big Game
Freshman
Ja'Mier Fletcher scored in double digits for the first time in his young career against the Explorers, contributing 12 points and five rebounds. Fletcher showed efficiency in his game, converting four of five field goals and four of five free throws, while only playing 15 minutes.
Three's A Charm
The Seahawks have shown some offensive balance, having at least three players score in double digits in every game this season. The Green and White had four double-digit scorers twice this year, in the season-opener at Seton Hall, as well as the overtime loss to Stony Brook.
Non-Conference Play Winding Down
Saturday's contest marks the second to last non-conference game for the Seahawks, who will kick off Northeast Conference action on January 2 at Mount St. Mary's. With the addition of Merrimack to the NEC, this year's regular season conference slate will feature 18 games in a two-month stretch, with the NEC tournament scheduled for March 4-10.
Scouting The Black Knights
Army comes into Saturday's contest with a 5-5 record and is coming off an 89-76 victory at Buffalo. Saturday's contest will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 1982-83 season and sixth meeting overall, with the Black Knights holding a 3-2 series advantage overall.
