La Salle answered back with two runs in the bottom of the frame in taking a one-run lead as Faso doubled to right field, scoring Constantini, and Faso came in to score on a bases-loaded walk to Tagoe.

The Green & White then broke the game open by erupting  for 11 runs over the fourth and fifth innings in seizing an 11-2. In the fourth, Mascelli singled through the left side for his second RBI of the afternoon and came into score on an error by the Explorers' left fielder. With two on and two out, Sabdio plated both Godino and junior catcher Phil Capra in giving Wagner a 6-2 lead. Junior Will Johnson then reached on an infield single to second, as Sabido came into score to make it a 7-2 game.

In the Seahawk fifth, Mazzio sent a bases clearing, three-run double to left center field as the visitors increased their lead to 10-2. Following a walk to Capra, Godino sent a double to left center, plating Mazzio for Wagner's 11th run of the game.
