Wagner vs. the America East
In Albany, Wagner will be facing its second of three contests this season vs. America East opponents. On November 18, the Seahawks dropped a 65-53 home decision to New Hampshire in a game where Wagner held the lead after each of the first, second, and third quarters, before the Wildcats rallied late for the win. Following tonight's tilt, the Seahawks will face their third and final America East foe this season, when they travel to Long Island to meet the Stony Brook Seawolves on Sunday, November 26 in a game that will also be carried live on ESPN 3. Tonight's contest will be Wagner's 43rd all-time meeting with current America East members. The only school in the nine-team conference that the Seahawks have never faced is UMass-Lowell. The school from the current configuration of the America East that Wagner has faced the most times is UMBC, a former member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). The Seahawks and the Retrievers have meet a total of 11 times on the hardwood, following by the Seahawks' next opponent, Stony Brook, who they have faced on 10 occasions.

Fifth-year senior forward Sierra Clark poured in 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting, along with 14 rebounds, two blocks, two steals and two assists, as the Wagner women's basketball team overcame a 13-point deficit in recording a 63-58 win at the College of Staten Island on Monday night. After trailing by a 29-13 count following a Christina Pasaturo three-pointer, the Seahawks ended the first half on a 12-0 run to draw within 29-25 at halftime. The Green & White then opened the second half on an 8-4 spurt, making it a 20-4 Wagner run, bridging the halves, that tied the score at 33-33 with 5:38 left in the 3rd quarter. CSI then ended the quarter on a 10-3 run in taking a 43-36 lead into the pivotal fourth quarter. The Seahawks opened the fourth on a 14-7 run to knot the score at 50-50 on a layup by redshirt freshman forward Taylah Simmons, who would finish with a career-high 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. The key play in the game came when the 5-11 Clark snared an offensive rebound off a missed free throw and converted a putback, giving Wagner a 54-53 lead with 55 seconds left to play. This marked the Seahawks' first lead since the score was 5-4 in the game's early going. The Green & White then iced it by making seven clutch free throws in eight attempts over the final 48 seconds. Clark was 4-of-4 from the line in this final stretch, freshman guard Alayshia Dailey was 3-of-4 while freshman small forward Khaleah Dixon-Edwards went 2-of-2. Clark, a Division II All-American last season at Adelphi, tossed in 14 of her 28 points in the fourth quarter as the Seahawks outscored the Dolphins 27-14 over the game's final 9:08 to pull out the victory. Senior guard Tanasia Russell was the third Seahawk to hit for double figures, finishing with 11 points, for a Seahawk team that shot a sizzling 64 percent from the floor in the final quarter on 9-of-14 shooting. After trailing by a 12-9 count following the first quarter, the Seahawks found themselves in severe foul trouble throughout the second quarter while, at the same time, CSI got hot from the perimeter, draining 4-of-7 three-points in period number two. It all added up that 29-13 Dolphins' lead before the Seahawks closed the half with a flourish, putting together the 12-0 run which made it a four-point game at halftime.
