Box Score 2 (XML)Moon Township, PA – The Wagner softball team dropped its second Northeast Conference (NEC) doubleheader of the weekend by the scores of 3-2 and 15-1 at Robert Morris on Sunday afternoon.
Wagner falls to 9-23 on the season, 1-13 in the NEC, while the Colonials improve to 21-17 and remain the conference's lone undefeated team at 10-0.

It was junior catcher
Brenda Bott (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley) who got things started with a rocket over the left field fence in the top of the fourth inning which gave Wagner a 1-0 lead. For Bott, it was her fourth home run of the season.
The Colonials responded right away, putting up two runs in bottom of the fourth on an Olivia Lorusso RBI double in taking a 2-1 lead before adding an insurance run in bottom of the fifth to create a 3-1 lead.
Senior shortstop
Kelsey Parker (Lynnwood, WA/Lynnwood) started off the top of the sixth with a double to left field and scored when sophomore pitcher
McKaleigh Goodale (Bradenton, FL/Lakewood Ranch) followed suit with a double up the middle, cutting the deficit to 3-2. Robert Morris was able to keep the Seahawks off the board the rest of the way in hanging on for the win.
Senior first baseman
Beth Lewis (Ashburn, VA/Stone Bridge) was 2-for-3 with two singles in the contest while Bott, Parker and Goodale contributed one hit apiece for the Seahawks.
Goodale hurled the first 4.2 innings, giving up three runs on five hits with two strikeouts, in taking the loss.

Wagner's lone run came in the third inning on an RBI single by Goodale, which scored sophomore centerfielder
Brianna Tredway (Downingtown, PA/ Downingtown West), who went 2-for-3 in the second game.
Robert Morris tacked on two runs in the second inning, followed by five in the third. The Seahawks produced up eight hits in game two the Colonials posted 14 hits, including home runs by Ashley Gerhart and Olivia Lorusso.
Lewis went 2-for-2, making her 4-for-5 on the day. Delivering one base hit apiece in the second game were Parker, sophomore
Taylor Beeson (Mesa, AZ/ Red Mountain), the designated player, freshman left fielder
Maite Reece (Covina, CA/Gabrielino), and Goodale.
Senior
Samantha Bedker (Phoenix, AZ/Sandra Day O'Connor) took the loss, giving up six unearned runs on four hits with one strikeout in 0.2 innings pitched.
The Seahawks return to action next Saturday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m. in their final doubleheader of the 2015 campaign, hosting Mount St. Mary's.
