Staten Island, NY – The Wagner men's lacrosse team will play host to the Catamounts of the University of Vermont (3-3) on this afternoon at Hameline Field with faceoff set for 1:00 pm.
The Seahawks enter the contest with a 1-3 record, having most recently dropped a heartbreaking 9-8 decision to the University of Detroit.
The Seahawks are sparked by redshirt freshman midfielder
Patrick McMenamin (Longport, NJ/St. Augustine Prep). The 5-5, 155-pound McMenamin is joined on the Seahawks by twin brother
Patrick McMenamin and older brother
Michael McMenamin.
Wagner's top faceoff man,
William McMenamin has won 42-of-78 faceoffs, a .538 percentage and is the team leader with 37 ground balls.
In goal, senior
Nicholas Gibaldi (Rocky Point, NY/Rocky Point) recorded 30 saves, with a 10.88 goals against average in 226:00 between the pipes.
