Game Time
Wagner (15-23; 8-8 NEC) begins the second half of its Northeast Conference (NEC) slate with four games at Quinnipiac (10-25; 5-11 NEC) in the final NEC series between the teams.

The End
After spending the last 15 seasons in the NEC, the Bobcats will be leaving for the MAAC on July 1, 2013.

All-Time Series
The Seahawks hold a commanding 28-19 edge in the all-time series, thanks to winning 14 of the last 18 meetings, including 10-of-12 since the 2010 season.

In Hamden
Quinnipiac holds a narrow 12-11 edge in the series when playing at the QU Baseball Field, but has lost five of the last six meetings between the teams in the Constitution State.

Close Calls
While the Green & White has won five of the last six meetings between the teams, the wins haven't exactly been easy victories as four of the five have been decided by two runs or less.

Coach Carone & Collazo Against The Bobcats
Wagner head coach Jim Carone was 9-1 as a player against the Bobcats while assistant coach Chris Collazo was 9-6. Additionally, director of operations Eddie Brown was 6-2 as a player against Quinnipiac while hitting at a .346 clip (9-for-26) with five runs, seven RBI, two doubles and a home run.

Magic Number 4
The Seahawks are 8-1 when scoring more than four runs during conference play while the Bobcats are 1-8 when allowing four runs or more during NEC play. Additionally, QU has scored more than four runs in just three of their 16 conference tilts.

Something's Gotta Give?
Wagner is just 1-3 in NEC game threes while Quinnipiac is 0-4 and has been outscored 15-1.

Last Weekend
The Green & White split four games with perennial NEC power Central Connecticut with sophomore Nick Dini leading the way on offense with a .538 average (7-for-13). The Garden State native was also a near-impossible out in Saturday's doubleheader, going 3-for-4 with a pair of walks while also being plunked in eight trips to the plate.

Mammino Named CBI Louisville Slugger National Pitcher Of The Week
Freshman LHP Paul Mammino garnered national accolades after firing a complete-game one-hitter in Wagner's 8-1 win over CCSU in the teams' series finale this past Sunday. Mammino took a no-hit bid into the ninth inning against the Blue Devils, before allowing a one-out single. The southpaw retired 22 batters in a row at one point during the game as the ninth-inning single and a second-inning walk were the only blemishes on Mammino's line.

Also ...
Mammino garnered NEC Co-Pitcher of the Week while becoming the first Seahawk to do since Ryan Van Spronsen a year ago while garnering his third conference rookie citation.

The Best Around
Mammino's third career NEC Rookie of the Week citation is the most by any Green & White player in school history.

The Great Mammino
Thanks to Mammino's most recent outing the rookie southpaw is a perfect 5-0 on the year with a team-best five wins (2nd NEC) and a 2.31 ERA (7th NEC) while holding opposing hitters to a .221 average (8th NEC). Additionally, over his last two starts the Garden State native has struck out 11 while allowing one earned run on nine hits and two walks over 17.0 innings.

Casey Crushing It
Junior RHP Ryan Casey, like Mammino, has been outstanding of late, going 3-1 over his last four starts with three complete games, a 2.25 ERA and 14 strikeouts while pitching 32 out of a possible 33 innings. On the year, Casey is 3-4 with three complete games and 31 strikeouts, against just 12 walks, over 61.0 innings (2nd NEC).

Tough-Luck Matty Mo
To say junior LHP Matt Morris has gotten some bad luck of late would be an understatement. Morris has lost each of his last two starts, but has allowed just one earned run over 11.0 innings of work. During that time, the Wagner offense has also given Morris just two runs of support. On the year, Morris is 2-3 with 21 strikeouts and a 2.59 ERA over 24.1 innings of work.

Impressive
Since joining the weekend rotation, Morris has struck out 18 over 20.0 innings in four starts while posting a 0.90 ERA.

Going The Distance
Freshman RHP Mike Adams notched his first career complete game against Central Connecticut, striking out three over 7.0 innings of work. Despite owning a 1-5 record, Adams is limiting opposing hitters to a .207 average, good for third-lowest in the NEC.

Did You Know???
All four of the Seahawks' road victories have been recorded by freshmen pitchers with Mammino notching two and RHP Nathan Hunt the other two.

The Rotation
During NEC play, the Wagner rotation of Adams, Casey, Mammino and Morris has been outstanding this season during conference play, posting a 2.80 ERA over 96.1 innings of work while recording a 1.62 strike-to-walk ratio.

Closing It Out
Over his last eight games, sophomore RHP Anthony Battaglia is a perfect 5-for-5 in save situations while posting a 1.88 ERA with 10 strikeouts over 14.1 innings of work. On the year, the Seahawk closer is 1-2 with five saves (2nd NEC) and 18 strikeouts over 21.2 innings. Battaglia is now fourth in school history with nine career saves and is just one behind former All-NEC performer David Rees.

Alfano Settling In
Over his last two outings on the mound, senior RHP Nick Alfano has struck out three while allowing just one hit over 3.0 innings of work.

Tax-Month Bliss
Graduate student Chase Gray has hit safely in all 13 games he has played in the month of April, batting .405 (17-for-42) with nine runs, seven RBI, three doubles and three stolen bases while raising his average 120 points to its current mark of .255.

Dini Domination
With all due respect to Gray, no hitter has been hotter of late then Dini. Since going 0-for-7 in the series finale with FDU, the Garden State native has hit safely in 10-of-11, including eight-straight games. During his current eight-game skeen, Dini is batting .484 (15-for-31) with nine RBI, eight runs, three extra base hits and four stolen bases while posting a .514 OBP.

Among The Leaders
Thanks to his most recent surge, Dini ranks among the league leaders in with 46 hits (t-7th NEC), 25 runs (t-6th NEC), 26 RBI (t-5th NEC) and 10 stolen bases (9th NEC).

Join The Club
With his hit in the second game of a doubleheader against the Blue Devils, Dini became the 49th member of Wagner 100-hit club.

Miller Making It Happen
Junior Ian Miller continued his dominating 2013 season by matching his previous single-season high with his 34th stolen base against Rutgers on Wednesday. Miller is now just seven steals away from Damian Csakai's school-record total of 41. On the year, Miller leads the NEC with 55 hits and his aforementioned 34 stolen bases while ranking third with 30 runs and ninth with a .344 average. He has also reached base safely in 34 of his 38 games.

Among The Nation's Best
Miller ranks third nationally with 34 stolen bases and third with 0.89 steals per game ... Dini, meanwhile, is the 60th toughest player to strikeout at one every 13.6 at-bats.

Smith Rounds Out Big Three
Junior Chris Smith, like Miller and Dini, ranks among the league leaders in runs (34) (7th NEC), steals (11) (7th NEC) and RBI (23) (7th NEC) while batting .331. Smith is also second on the circuit with 23 walks while ranking sixth in OBP (.448) and 10th in slugging (.484).

Odds & Ends
Freshman Ben Ruta has hit safely in six of his last seven games, going 7-for-17 (.411) with three walks ... Junior Shaun Flynn is 5-for-8 (.625) over his last two games with five RBI ... Sophomore Dan Wasilick recorded his first career multi-hit game at Rutgers.

Last Year Against QU
Wagner took three of four in the teams' four meetings thanks to outscoring Quinnipiac by a 20-8 count. Miller led the way hitting .385 (5-for-13), after going hitless against QU in nine at-bats as a freshman in 2010. Dini also had a solid weekend, hitting .333 (4-for-12) with three RBI, two runs and a triple. Casey struck out five over 7.0 innings in picking up the complete game victory in game one of the Saturday doubleheader.

He's Back
Quinnipiac's Chris Migani returns after missing last year due to injury and is hitting .357 (15-for-42) over his career against Seahawk pitching, including posting a .417 mark with two home runs and four RBI in 2011.

Tough To Hit
The Bobcats' game one and two starters, Derek Lamacchia and Spencer Kane have posted a combined 2.07 ERA with 26 strikeouts, against just eight walks, over 27 innings against the Green & White over their careers. Kane has had a hand in both of QU's wins over the Green & White over the last two seasons, earning the win in game three last year and the save in game two in 2011.

Steal City
Wagner has 398 stolen bases over the last four years while leading the conference each season and this season has been no different. The Seahawks are again at the top of the league rankings with 83 stolen bases (17th NCAA) in just 38 games. At its current rate of 2.18 steals per game (14th NCAA), Wagner would finish with 120 steals while bettering the previous record of 98 set in 2010. All told, since the start of the 2009 campaign the Seahawks are 441-for-558 on stolen base attempts.

At The Ballpark
Wagner holds an all-time record of 81-43 (.653) at R.C.B.B. since the program began calling the stadium home for the 2008 campaign. Additionally, the Seahawks are 54-31 (.635) during NEC games and 24-12 (.667) in non-conference match-ups.

2013 NEC Poll
Bryant was tabbed first with CCSU second, Monmouth third, Sacred Heart fourth, LIU Brooklyn fifth, Wagner sixth, FDU seventh, Quinnipiac eighth and the Mount ninth.

Wagner heads to NJIT for a mid-week tilt on Tuesday, April 30, before hosting Mount St. Mary's in a four-game set, beginning on Friday, May 4.
