Burlington, VT – Senior midfielders Colin O'Rourke (Worcester, MA. St. John's Shrewsbury),
Nick DePhillips (Glen Ridge, NJ/ Glen Ridge/ Ohio St.) and freshman attackman
Griffen Leclaire (White Rock, BC/ Hill Academy) scored two goals apiece but it was Vermont, behind a seven-goal outing by Drew Phillie, which came away with a 15-6 victory.
Leclaire and O'Rourke also had one assist apiece to tie for team-high honors with three.
Vermont outshot Wagner 40-28 and led in ground balls 33-23. For the second straight game, the Seahawks were competitive in the faceoff department. After winning 19-of-34 face-offs in the win over Mercer, Wagner was edged by a 13-12 count vs. Vermont. Senior
Krey Keller (Colorado Springs, CO/ Cheyenne Mountain) took 24 of today's face-offs, winning 12, while sophomore
Adam Geiger (Colts Neck, NJ/ Colts Neck) was 0-1. Keller took all 34 Wagner face-offs vs. Mercer.

Nicholas Gibaldi (Rocky Point, NY/ Rocky Point) had nine saves in the game's first 56 minutes before giving way to freshman
Anthony Peruso (Warwick, NY/ John S. Burke Catholic) who stopped four shots in the final four minutes.
After O'Rourke tied the game at 1-1 with a goal of an unassisted goal, Vermont scored four straight goals to take a 5-1 lead. Leclaire then stopped the spree with 1:07 left in the first quarter with a tally off an assist by junior
Brian Faughnan (New Canaan, CT/ New Canaan) to make it 5-2. The Catamounts then went on a 3-0 run to go up 8-3 en route to a 10-3 halftime lead and eventual 15-6 win.
The Seahawks, who were coming off an 18-12 win over Mercer on March 9, fall to 1-6 on the season while the Catamounts improve to 2-5. Wagner is next in action two weeks from today when the Green & White travel to Robert Morris to meet the Colonials in the Northeast Conference (NEC) opener on Sat., March 30 at 11:00 am.
