The Wagner women's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of the Spiro Center for the first time in 16 days, and after three road games where the Seahawks went 1-2, earning an impressive 70-57 win at Monmouth (11/14) before dropping contests at Iona, 74-59 (11/20), and at Seton Hall, 86-61 (11/23).

All-Time vs. Vermont
The Seahawks and the Catamounts are meeting for just the second time. In the only other meeting between the schools, Wagner defeated Vermont 68-40 in the first round of the Blue Sky Classic, held at Dartmouth University on Dec. 29, 2010.

Peck Continues to Lead at 17.5 Per Game
Sophomore guard Jordyn Peck (Shaker Heights, OH/Shaker Heights) averaged 20. 5 points per game in Wagner's two contests this past week.. At Iona on November 20, Peck tossed in s at Iona, surpassing her previous career high of 22, which she netted on two occasions last season. The 5-6, lefty-shooting Peck equaled her career high against the Gaels with five three-pointers made, finishing 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. Peck followed that effort with a team-high 17 points at Big East member Seton Hall on Nov. 23. Against the Pirates, Peck again matched her career highs in three-pointers made, going 5-of-11 from deep (6-of-12 overall from the field) Peck, to go with a team-high five assists, two rebounds and one block. For the week, Peck shot .556 from three-point range (10-of-18) and .481 (13-of-27) overall from the floor. Peck is now averaging a team-high 17.5 points per game.

Freshman Nwajei Checks in at 14.5 Per Game
Freshman point guard Jasmine Nwajei (Rockaway Park, NY/Murry Bergtraum) is second on the team in scoring at 14.5 points per game after scoring 10 points at Iona (11/20) and nine points at Seton Hall (11/23). The nine-point outing vs. the Pirates marked her first straight scoring game of her career as she began her career with 19 vs. Kentucky (11/10), 20 in a 70-57 win at Monmouth (11/14), and 10 at Iona (11/20).

Amorosa Goes for 14 & 8 at Seton Hall
Senior forward Laura Amorosa (Kirkland, Quebec / Phillips Academy (MA) posted career highs with 14 points and eight rebounds vs. Big East member Seton Hall last time out on Saturday. Thanks to a trio of three-pointers in final 3:26 of the first half, Amorosa had already eclipsed her previous career high of 11 as she scored all 14 of her points in a first half that saw her shoot 5-of-8 from the field, including 4-of-7 marksmanship from beyond the arc. In her productive and efficient 19-minute first half, the 5-11 forward added six rebounds and an assist. In the first half alone, Amorosa's four made three-pointers set a career high as her previous high for a game was two. In addition, those six first-half rebounds were one shy of her career high of seven.

About the Catamounts
Vermont enters the Wagner game with a 2-4 record and fresh off a 1-1 showing in the TD Bank Classic which the Catamounts hosted. In the opening round on Friday, Vermont knocked off North Florida 68-44 before falling to the Phoenix of Wisconsin-Green Bay 74-57 in the championship game.  The Catamounts are led in scoring by 6-0 junior forward Niki Taylor who averages 14.8 points while 5-8 freshman guard Kristina White averages 14.3. Freshman Kylie Butler, a 5-8 guard, checks in at 9.3 per game was was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Monday. Butler averaged 14 points and eight rebounds, while shooting 50 percent from the field in the two games.  She reached double figures in the scoring column in both games.  Netting 12 points and pulling down seven rebounds in a win over North Florida and pouring in 16 points and collecting nine rebounds in a loss to Wisconsin Green Bay, the No. 2 ranked Mid-Major team in the country. Butler was named to the TD Bank Class All-Tournament team for her efforts. She is the second Vermont newcomer to earn America East Rookie of the Week honors this season.  Teammate Kristina White earned the honor during the week of Nov. 11.
