Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College men's lacrosse team hosts traditional Northeast Conference kingpin on Saturday, March 31 at 1:00 pm in the league opener for both teams.
The 0-8 Seahawks remain in search of their first win of the season and have been close on several occasions, dropping four hard-fought contests by a combined nine goals to Rutgers (9-5), Saint Joseph's (6-5), VMI (12-11, OT) and Mercer (14-11).
Junior midfielders Colin O'Rourke (Worcester, Ma/ St. John's Shrewsbury) and
Nick DePhillips (Glen Ridge, NJ/ Glen Ridge) pace Wagner in scoring with 16 and 15 points, respectively while senior attackman
Mike Hurley (Billerica MA/ Billerica) checks in with 14 points.

Nicholas Gibaldi (Rocky Point, NY/ Rocky Point) has 101 saves on the season and a save percentage of .476.
Wagner's most glaring weakness this season is in the faceoff area where Wagner has been successful on just 68-of-197 for the season.
Robert Morris, which comes into this weekend's action with a 6-3 mark, is led by the tandem of Kiel Matisz and Jake Hayes who have scored 26 and 23 goals, respectively. Connor Martin is a top faceoff man for the Colonials, having won 99-of-186 faceoffs.
