Providence, RI – Wagner jumped out to an early 4-2 lead before Providence stormed back with 10 consecutive goals bridging the first and second halves en route to a 13-5 victory in men's lacrosse action.

A key factor in Providence's 10-goal spree and overall play was the 17-5 advantage the Friars held in the faceoff department. Junior midfielder Nick DePhillips (Glen Ridge, NJ/ Glen Ridge) posted a hat trick for the Seahawks while fellow junior midfielder Colin O'Rourke (Worcester, MA/ St. John's Shrewsbury) and sophomore attackman Sam Morrissey (Long Valley, NJ/ West Morris Cental) added one goal apiece. Junior attackman Brian Faughnan (New Canaan, CT/ New Canaan) and senior midfielder William Hedges (Shoreham, NY/ Shoreham) had one assist apiece.

Providence was led in scoring by Jake Nolan who scored six goals. Four different goalies combined for 11 saves for the Friars while Seahawk sophomore goalie Nicholas Gibaldi (Rocky Point, NY/ Rocky Point) came up with 13 saves.

Providence out-shot Wagner 40-28 and led in ground balls 31-10. The Seahawks were 0-of-5 in extra-man opportunities while Providence was 0-of-1.
