New Britain, CT - The Wagner men's cross country team prepared for next week's 8K Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship with the Central Connecticut (CCSU) Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park. 

The Seahawks sent three runners to the 5K course, with sophomore Timothy Mendez (West Haverstraw, NY / North Rockland) leading the Green & White finishers with a 31st-place finish (16:22.53). Freshman Darius Moulton (Brisbane, Australia / Gregory Terrace) was 74th with a mark of 17:21.25, while classmate Mark Carles (Staten Island, NY / St. Peter's) took 87th (17:58.95).

Yale took top honors with 26 points, while CCSU's Colby Delbene won the individual title with a time of 15:22.61.

Led by reigning NEC Athlete of the Week Daniel Zaccariello (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph By The Sea), Wagner will take part in the aforementioned NEC Championship on Saturday, October 27 at 12:00 pm on the campus of Bryant University. More more information click HERE
