Staten Island, NY - Fresh off a 49-45 win over St. Francis (NY) at home in the Northeast Conference (NEC) opener for both teams on Saturday, the Seahawks (2-5, 1-0 NEC) look to improve to 2-0 in the NEC when they make the short trek to Brooklyn, NY to meet the Blackbirds of Long Island but the will not be an easy one as LIU (5-2, 1-0 NEC) boasts the NEC's leading scorer in Ashley Palmer who checks in at 18.3 points per game.

Last Time Out - Senior center Kelly Clark (Neptune, NJ/ St. Rose) recorded her third double-double of the season and seventh of her career with 23 points and 11 rebounds and scored the Seahawks' last seven points of the game to lead Wagner to the win over St. Francis (NY). Junior forward Marie-Laurence Archambault (Montreal, Quebec/ Montmorency) added 10 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Seahawks. St. Francis (NY) was led by Jaymee Veney who had 10 points while Kelly Myers added nine.

The Series - Today's game marks the 71st meeting between the local rivals and LIU holds a 39-31 lead in the all-time series. The Blackbirds have won the last four meetings in the series. The last Wagner win over the Blackbirds came on Feb. 14, 2009 when the Seahawks earned a 53-51 victory in Brooklyn.

Trio Leading the Way Offensively -  Clark leads the team in scoring at 14.3  ppg., followed by  Archambault and freshman point guard Jacqui Thompson (Southampton, PA/ St. Basil Academy) who each check in at 7.7 ppg.

Marie For Three! - Marie-Laurence Archambault has connected on 15-of-40 shots (.375) from beyond the arc as she continues her ascent through th Seahawk record book. Heading into tonight's contest at LIU, the 6-0 Archambault has made 138 career three-pointers while attempting 368 shots from three-point range. Both of those
marks rank sixth on the Wagner all-time career list.
