Smithfield, RI -
The Wagner College women's basketball team (9-11, 2-7 NEC) looks to break a two-game slide when the Seahawks travel to Smithfield, RI to meet the Bulldogs of Bryant (7-13, 4-5 NEC) in a key NEC clash on Monday at 7:00 pm.

The Seahawks are coming off a 65-52 loss at Central Connecticut St. (CCSU) on Saturday. Wagner trailed by just three points at halftime and received a season-high 22-point from sophomore forward Marie-Laurence Archambault but the Blue Devils pulled away late and gained the victory. With her stellar performance v. CCSU, Archambault has tied junior center Kelly Clark for team scoring honors as each enter the Bryant game averaging 12.6 points per game.

Archambault leads the NEC in both three-point shooting percentage (.462) and in three-pointers made per game (2.70). As of the most recent NCAA statistics, Archambault is ranked 8th in three-point percentage and 43rd in three-pointers made per game. Clark, meanwhile, continues to lead the NEC in field goal percentage at .549.

Senior guard Megan Mahoney, who went over the 1,000-point mark for her career on Jan. 24 vs. Quinnipiac, checks in at 12.4 points per game while senior forward Ashley Olsen contributes 10.4 points per game and a team-high 8.4 rebounds per outing. Wagner and first-place Robert Morris are the only two teams in the NEC that boast having four players averaging in double figures.

Bryant enters the Wagner game riding a two-game winning streak. On Jan. 24, the Bulldogs knocked off FDU 62-58 and on Saturday Bryant got by Mount St. Mary's 79-76 in overtime. The Bulldogs are led in scoring by Danielle Douglas who averages 10.9 points per game while Siamone Bennett is next in scoring at 10.7 points per game.
