Wagner To Meet Vermont In First Round of Blue Sky Classic Today At 5:00 PM

The Green & White will meet Vermont in the first round of Dartmouth University's Blue Sky Classic on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 5:00 pm. Host Dartmouth will face Kansas St. of the Big 12 in the nightcap.

On Wednesday, Dec. 30, the Seahawks will meet Dartmouth at 7:00 pm while Kansas St. squares off with Vermont in the opening game on Dec. 30. The Blue Sky Classic holds the distinction of being the nation's longest-running women's basketball tournament, as this year's event marks the 34th edition of the Classic. Wagner enters the game with a record of 5-5.

The Seahawks are coming off a 74-64 home victory over Saint Peter's on Dec. 21 as junior center Kelly Clark led the way with 24 points. Clark leads the NEC in field goal percentage at .628 and was ranked No. 5 in the nation in the most recent NCAA statistical rankings. Senior guard Megan Mahoney checks in at 12.1 points per game. Vermont (0-9) is led in scoring by senior forward Tonya Young who averages 10.7 points per game.
