Spector Runs Outstanding Race At NCAA Regionals

Madison, CT –
Wagner junior Zachary Spector (Yaphank, NY / Longwood) finished an impressive 53rd out of 229 runners at the NCAA Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships as the Seahawks finished 28th out of the 35 teams represented. This marks the fifth consecutive meet where Spector has set the pace for the Green and White.

Crossing the finish line second for the Seahawks was junior Thomas Iannacone (Havertown, PA / St. Joe's Prep) clocking in with a time of 32:50 and 144th place overall. Brothers Thomas Rammelkamp and Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY / Miller Place) recorded third and fourth place finishes on the Wagner squad while registering times of 33:46 and 33:52 and earning 186th and 190th place respectively. Rounding out the scores for the Seahawks was sophomore Matt Driscoll (Lewiston, ME / Lewiston) who recorded a time of 34:30, good for 205th place.

Syracuse took top honors overall in the 10K race with a score of 56 as Central Connecticut State finished as the top NEC team with an 16th place finish and a score of 403.
