Bronx, NY – Wagner College's men's cross country team tied Hofstra for seventh place out of 14 at the 8K Metropolitan Conference Cross Country Championships Friday afternoon in Van Cortland Park.
Junior
Thomas Iannacone (Havertown, PA / St. Joe's Prep) led Wagner with a time of 26:29 and a 13th place finish overall out of 139 runners. Seniors
Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY / Miller Place) and brother
Thomas Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY / Miller Place) were the second and third Seahawks to cross the finish line clocking in at 27:46 and 28:19 respectively.
Matt Driscoll (Lewiston, ME / Lewiston) placed 78th in a time of 28:34 as freshman
Daniel Zaccariello (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph By The Sea) rounded out the scores for Wagner with a 88th place finish in a time of 28:53.
Wagner finished seventh overall with a total of 222 points. Columbia University took home top honors with a total of 17 points.
Wagner is back in action on Saturday, October 16th at the UAlbany Invitational.
