Staten Island, NY -
Junior Megan Mahoney's (Staten Island, NY / St. Peter's) game-winning lay-up with three seconds remaining capped a career-high 31-point night and lifted Wagner to a thrilling 76-74 overtime victory over Saint Francis (PA) in Northeast Conference (NEC) action at DeGol Arena. The Green & White improve to 4-9 and 1-1 in the NEC while the Red Flash fall to 4-8 and 1-1 in the NEC.

Down three with 13 seconds remaining, Saint Francis (PA) appeared poised to put away the Green & White following a missed shot but instead of taking a wide-open lay-up, Quinessa Johnson dribbled the ball out and was fouled with just 5.3 seconds remaining. Johnson missed both free throws and freshman Marie-Laurence Archambault's (Montreal, Quebec / Montmorency) running three pointer from the right side bounced straight-up off the right side of the rim before rolling around and falling in to tie the game up at 65-65, sending the game into overtime.

In the overtime session, the Seahawks controlled the tip and junior Sha'Ron Harrison (Paterson, NJ / John F. Kennedy) split a pair from the line to give Wagner a one-point lead. Janie Killian answered with a bucket at the opposite end before Mahoney pushed the lead out to three with a lay-up and a jumper. Brittany Lilley cut it to one at 70-69 with a jumper at the 2:26 mark. Harrison then drilled a pair from the line and Britney Hodges matched her with two of her own. The teams traded jumpers before Lilley tied the game up at 74-74 with 25 seconds remaining on a free throw. After a Wagner timeout, Mahoney took the ball at the top of the key and scored on a driving lay-up with 3.7 seconds remaining and the Red Flash's last shot fell short.

The Green & White connected on 4-of-7 from the floor in the extra session as Mahoney (6 points) and Harrison (5 points) accounted for the Seahawks' 11 points. Junior Stephanie McBride (Mechanicville, NY / Catholic Central) started out the game's scoring with a fast-break lay-up off a steal before the Red Flash answered with 10-straight points. Mahoney quelled the run with a lay-up at the 16:12 mark of the initial stanza while starting a 19-2 Seahawk spurt.
