Staten Island, NY -
Wagner (6-13; 3-5 NEC) returns to action looking to a snap a 15-game losing streak against Quinnipiac (9-10; 4-4 NEC) at the Spiro Sports Center tonight at 5:00 pm.

Last Time Out -
The Green & White picked up a 78-64 victory over SFNY in their last game and have shot 40 percent in each of the last four games. Also against the Terriers, Wagner had four student-athletes hit for double-figures for just the second time on the year (first at Army 11/13/09).

The Coaches -
Head coach Gela Mikalauskas is in her 16th season on the Wagner sidelines with a record of 199-242. Mikalauskas was the coach of the 1988-1989 Seahawk squad that won the program's only Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship. All-time, she is winless (0-8) against the Bobcats.

Quinnipiac is led by Tricia Fabbri, who is 205-206 in 15 years with the Bobcats.

With A Win:
  • Wagner would move to 4-5 in the NEC.
  • Defeat Quinnipiac for the first time since January 3, 2002 - a span of eight years and six days.
  • Give Mikalauskas her first-ever win over the Bobcats and the 200th of her 16th-year career.

The Series -
Quinnipiac has won 15-straight meetings with Wagner dating back to the 2001-2002 season and holds a commanding 18-5 advantage in the all-time series. During that time, the Bobcats have won by an average of 13.3 ppg.

Last Meeting -
Quinnipiac jumped out to an early 18-point second half lead before withstanding a furious Wagner rally, in a 66-56 victory in Hamden, CT. Freshman Marie-Laurence Archamabault led the Seahawks with 24 points while Kaminski notched 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Bobcats.

Archambault Lights Up Quinnipiac -
Freshman Marie-Laurence Archambault went off for a career-high 24 points at Quinnipiac (1/9). The Canadian native was good on 7-13 from the floor, including 6-9 from beyond the arc. That comes on the heels of her three-pointer with no time remaining at Saint Francis (PA) (1/4), that sent the game against the Red Flash into overtime.

Mahoney Heating Up - Over her last two games, junior Megan Mahoney seems to be settling into a niche with the Green & White. The Fordham transfer went for 19 points at LIU (1/21) and 17 in the win at SFNY (1/23). She averaged a team-best 18.0 ppg while shooting 48.0 percent (12-25) from the floor with 4.0 apg over the week.

Olsen Snaps Slump -
Junior Ashley Olsen hit for 19 points, on 7-10 shooting, with five rebounds in a victory over SFNY (1/23), snapping an 11-game streak in which the forward did not hit for double-figures.

Nyoto Uprising -
Junior Nyoto Patterson put together her finest game to date as a member of the Green & White in a win over SFNY (1/23), scoring a career-best matching 10 points while grabbing a career-high nine rebounds. Over her last three games, she is averaging 6.0 ppg and 4.7 rpg while shooting 66.7 percent (8-12) from the floor in 12.0 mpg.

Scouting QU -
Quinnipiac is a deep team in which nine student-athletes play at least 14 minutes a game. The Bobcats average 64.1 ppg while giving up 67.5 ppg.

Junior Courntey Kaminski leads the way and is averaging 13.4 ppg and 7.4 rpg. Senior Kathleen Neyens is next up with 11.8 ppg and 5.9 rpg. Sophomore Jacinda Dunbar rounds out the top-three scorers with 10.6 ppg and a team-best 8.3 rpg.
