Bronx
, NY – The Wagner men's cross country team took seventh place at the METS Championships as freshman Zachary Spector (Yaphank, NY/Longwood) led the Seahawk pack for the fourth time this season.

Spector's time of 27:09 was good for 27th in a field of 139. He was followed close behind by sophomore Thomas Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) who finished 28th with a time of 27:15.

Senior Allen Koehler (Okeana, OH/William Henry Harrison) and graduate student Brian Halling (Amherst, NH/Souhegan) kept the Green & White moving with times of 27:54 and 28:06, respectively. Koehler's performance was a drastic improvement from his 2007 run at the METS Championships as he paced himself over two minutes faster than his time a year ago.

Sophomore Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) started strong but fell off the pace, though still clocking in a respectable 28:13. Closing out the rest of the Seahawk scorers were freshman Thomas Iannacone (Havertown, PA/St. Joe's Prep) with a time of 29:27 and junior William Berger (Hopewell, VA/Sullivan C.C.), finishing in 30:51.

The Green & White are headed to the University of Albany on Saturday, October 18th as they take on the competitors of the Albany Invitational.
