In posting a 3-3 record during the month of December, which included the third-highest margin of victory in program history, junior guard Corey Henson (Upper Marlboro, MD/DeMatha Catholic) continues to be a vital offense threat for the Seahawks. During the month of December, the third-year Seahawk averaged 12.2 ppg while shooting 40.0 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from beyond-the-arc. Henson was near perfect from the free-throw line, converting on 92.0 percent from the charity stripe (11-of-12) while averaging 29.0 minutes during the month. Scoring in double-figures four times during the month, Henson matched his season-high of 19 points on the road at Morgan State (12/10). In the later stages of the Morgan State contest, the Seahawks, electing not to call timeout, were able to get the ball in the hands of Henson, who drove the baseline in drawing a foul on Isiah Graves. The Upper Marlboro, MD native was able to hit on both attempts, prompting timeouts by both teams. After getting the ball across, David Syfax missed on a three-pointer that was rebounded by Carr.
