Franklin Simms' TFRRS Profile (Top Performances and Meet Results)

2024 Outdoor (Sophomore): Named Co-Most Outstanding Field Performer (Throws) and All-NEC first team for discus at the NEC Championships (5/4-5) after winning discus with a 51.00m throw and logging a 14.33m shot put throw to finish fifth… Finished sixth in discus at the Rider Invitational (4/20) with a 41.07m throw… Earned second at NYC Mets Indoor Championships (2/2) with a 46.46m discus throw, in addition to finishing fifth in shot put with a 12.84m throw… Named NEC Field Athlete of the Week (4/3) for his third-place discus finish at the Monmouth Season Opener (3/29-30), in addition to logging a 12.77m shot put throw to finish eleventh… Opened outdoor season with a first-place finish in discus at the Oscar Moore Invitational (3/23) with a 43.17m throw.

2023-24 Indoor (Sophomore): Logged a 12.64m shot put throw to finish twelfth at the Wagner College Shootout (12/8).

Outdoor 2023 (Freshman): Named All-Rookie NEC Team (Discus) after finishing fourth at the NEC Championships with a distance of 47.65m in the discus. Recorded personal best of 48.62m in the discus at the Rutgers Relays, placing sixth overall. Finished fourth at the Monmouth Season Opener in the discus with a distance of 47.09m.

2022-23 Indoor (Freshman): Did not see any action.

Before Wagner: Simms attended St. Augustine Prep where he competed in the discus, winning the Atlantic County and Cape-Atlantic League Championships. Simms also finished third at the Meet of Champions. His personal-best throw, 191.11, ranked third in CAL history at that time. Simms is also a member of the Wagner College football team.
