Wagner College Athletics

Tanner Dixon is one of four Seahawk seniors who will serve as a team captain in 2018, along with Andrew Streilein, Andrew Park and Joe Lomeli. Dixon has been an ironman in helping spearhead the Seahawk defense throughout his Wagner career, having started all 43 games in which he has played.
 
2017: Started all 15 games on the season … Collected a total of 19 groundballs, with a season-high four vs. Manhattan (2/11) … Caused seven turnovers.

2016: Gained the start in all 12 games in which he played … Credited with eight groundballs and four caused turnovers … Season-high two ground balls vs. Saint Joseph’s (4/2) and in the season finale vs. Robert Morris (4/30) … Also had season-high two caused turnovers vs. the Colonials.

2015: Appeared and started in all 13 games for the Seahawks … Scooped up a career-high 15 ground balls, highlighted by a career-best five against Hobart (4/11) … Registered a career-high seven caused turnovers on the season.

Before Wagner: Played for Coach David Lerner at Delaware Valley while earning four varsity letters … Named Second-Team All-Conference in each of his freshman and sophomore seasons  … Second-Team All-Bianci Division  choice as a sophomore… As a junior, earned First-Team All-Conference, First Team All- Bianci Division, First-Team All-Area, Also Honorable Mention All-State selection as a senior … Team captain … As a senior, he duplicated his junior season accolades of his junior season, yet improved to Second-Team All-State … Football standout who was named Second-Team All-Area and First Team All-Conference as a senior … Notched a 3.7 GPA while being named to the honor roll all four years … Served as Senior Class President and nominated for the HOBY Leadership Program … Son of Kelly Dixon … Younger brother of Quincie.
