2024 Outdoor (Graduate): Named NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year… Ran a 3:59.44 time in the 1,500m at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships (5/10-12)… Selected All-NEC first team for the 3000m steeple after winning gold at the NEC Championship (5/4-5) with a 9:10.89 time, also finishing fifth in the 5,000m (14:49.10)… Named NEC Track Athlete of the Week (5/1) after running a college-best 8:52.81 time in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Penn Relays (4/25-27)… Finished eighth in the 3,000m (9:17.62) at the Larry Ellis Invite (4/12-13)… Part of third-place 4x1,500 relay at the Colonial Relays (4/4-6) that ran a 16:19.78 time, also finishing seventh in the 5,000m invite (14:21.14)… Named NEC Track Athlete of the Week (4/3) after running a 9:01.75 time in the 3,000m to finish second at the Sam Howell Invitational (3/30)… Opened the season with a seventh-place finish in the 1,500m (3:49.53) at the UCF Knights Invite (3/22-23).
2023-24 Indoor (Graduate): Selected All-NEC second team for 3,000m and distance medley relay after winning silver in the 3,000m (8:25.82) and distance medley relay (10:09.74) at the NEC Championship (2/18-19), also taking home bronze in the mile with a 4:11.31 time… Logged a 1:56.06 time to finish eleventh of 103 in the 800m at the FastTrack National Invite (2/9)… Finished second in the mile at the Scarlet Knight oPen (2/2-3) with a 4:11.28 time… Logged an 8:16.17 time in the 3,000m at Boston University’s John Thomas Terrier Classic (1/26-27), also running 10:29.10 with distance medley relay team… Finished fourth in the 3,000m at the Penn Select 10 1/13) with an 8:17.28 time… Opened the season with a fourth-place finish in the mile at the Wagner Invitational (1/5) with a 4:12.86 time.
Outdoor 2023 (Senior): Finished second in 3,000m steeplechase (9:01.85) at the Yale Last Chance Meet (5/13)... Named All-NEC First Team for 3,000m steeplechase after he won gold with a 9:07.69 time at the NEC Outdoor Championship (5/6-7), also taking home bronze with the 4x800 relay team (7:53.23)... Finished fifth in 3,000m (8:58.03) steeplechase at the UVA Challenge (4/21)... Ran a 15:01.79 5,000m at the Bucknell Invite (4/15-16)... Finished first in 3,000m steeplechase (9:02.38) and sixth in 4x1500 relay (16:15.99) at the Colonial Relays (3/31-4/1)... Opened the season with fourth-place finish in 1,500m (4:00.44) at the Monmouth Season Opener (3/24-25).
2022-2023 Indoor (Senior): Named All-NEC Second Team for 3,000m, 5,000m after he won silver in 5,000m (15:02.45) and 3,000m (8:34.14) at the NEC Indoor Championship (2/19-20)... Finished fifth in 3,000m (8:09.77) at the Boston University Invite (2/3-4)... Ran a 4:11.80 mile at the John Thomas Terrier Invite (1/27-28) to finish second... Finished 21st in 3,000m (8:33.62) at the Penn Select 10 meet (1/14)... Took third in the mile at the Wagner College Invitational (1/6) with a 4:21.13 time.
2022 Outdoor (Junior):Â At the NEC Outdoor Championships. Palermo finished the 5000m in eighth with a time of 15:19.73, and the 3000m Steeplechase in second with a time of 9:13.03.
2021-2022 Indoor (Junior): Palermo ran his best ever 800m with a time of 2:00.27 at the Villanova Indoor Meet. Palermo also PR'd in the 5000m and the 1500m during the outdoor season. Palermo's 1500m came with a time of 4:00.12 and his 5000m finished in 14:32.28.
2020-2021 Outdoor (Sophomore): During the outdoor season, Palermo ran his best ever 10,000m at the NEC Championships with a time of 32:12.63, and a finish of fifth place. Palermo also ran the 5000m in 16:00.8, finishing in thirteenth; as well as finishing in third in the 3000m Steeplechase, with a time of 9:17.86.
2019-2020 Indoor (Freshman): Ran the mile in 4:25.1 at the NEC Indoor Championships, which granted him thirteenth in the event.
Before Wagner: Attended St. Joseph By The Sea... Three-year varsity member of the Vikings cross country and track & field programs... National Honor Society selection... Garnered the Vikings' MVP in 2017 and 2018 in cross country... Received Track & Field Coaches' Award in 2017... Selected as a Staten Island Coaches All-Star his senior year in both track and cross country... Placed eighth at the Staten Island Championship his senior year, competing in 5,000 meters with 16:24.3 time... Holds two St. Joseph By The Sea track program records in the 2K and 3K steeplechase... In 2K steeplechase, he finished first at the Eastern States Invitational with a time of 6:09.41... In 3K, he took home first-place honors at the CHSAA Varsity Intersectional City Championship, crossing the finish line with a time of 9:48.61... Son of Jennifer and Dominic Palermo.
