Junior (2021-22):
During the indoor season, Palermo ran his best ever 800m with a time of 2:00.27 at the Villanova Indoor Meet. Palermo also PR'd in the 5000m and the 1500m during the outdoor season. Palermo's 1500m came with a time of 4:00.12 and his 5000m finished in 14:32.28.
At the NEC Outdoor Championships. Palermo finished the 5000m in eighth with a time of 15:19.73, and the 3000m Steeplechase in second with a time of 9:13.03.
Sophomore (2020-2021):
During the outdoor season, Palermo ran his best ever 10,000m at the NEC Championships with a time of 32:12.63, and a finish of fifth place. Palermo also ran the 5000m in 16:00.8, finishing in thirteenth; as well as finishing in third in the 3000m Steeplechase, with a time of 9:17.86.
Freshman (2019-2020):
Ran the mile in 4:25.1 at the NEC Indoor Championships, which granted him thirteenth in the event.
Before Wagner: Attended St. Joseph By The Sea High School where he was a three-year varsity member of the Vikings cross country and track & field programs under coach Chris Mancusi. A National Honor Society selection in the classroom. On the course, he garnered the Vikings' MVP in 2017 & 2018 in cross country while receiving the Track & Field Coaches' Award in 2017. Was selected as a Staten Island Coaches All-Star his senior year in both track and cross country. In cross country, in his final season, he placed eighth at the Staten Island Championship, competing in the 5,000 meters, posting a time of 16:24.3. On the track, he holds two St. Joseph By The Sea program records in the 2K and 3K steeplechase. In the 2K steeplechase, he finished first at the Eastern States Invitational with a time of 6:09.41. In the 3K, he took home first-place honors at the CHSAA Varsity Intersectional City Championship, crossing the finish line with a time of 9:48.61. He is the son of Jennifer and Dominic Palermo.
