Tim Capstraw '82; Men's Basketball (1989-99) and Baseball (1984-85) Head Coach
The inaugural winner of the Wagner Athletics Hall of Fame "Wagner Award", which highlights members of the Wagner Athletics community whose impact reaches far beyond Grymes Hill, Tim Capstraw is currently the third winningest coach in Wagner Men's Basketball history and is one of only three coaches with over 100 program wins. He was named the NEC Coach of the Year in 1991-92, coached nine players that were named to either the All-NEC First or Second teams, and coached two of the four players in the history of Wagner Men's Basketball to ever win NEC Rookie of the Year. Currently, Tim works as a broadcaster for the New York Nets and recently celebrated calling his 2,000th Nets game this past NBA season. In addition to his work with the Nets, "The Capper" also runs both a youth basketball camp and a youth broadcasting camp for aspiring athletes and broadcasters alike.

Tim Heaney '03; Football
Tim Heaney was a mainstay for the Seahawks on the defensive side of the ball during the early 2000's. During the 2000 season, Tim was named a Don Hansen All-American Honorable Mention as a defensive lineman. His best season came in 2003, when he was named a First Team All-American, a Sports Network All-American First Team member, and was a team captain. During that very same season, Tim led the NEC in tackles and forced fumbles and was 8th place overall in the conference in both sacks and tackles for loss. Additionally during the 2003 season, he was tied for first in all of Division I-AA (currently known as FCS) football in forced fumbles in a single game with NFL Hall of Famer Jared Allen. Tim's stellar 2003 season continued, as he was named a First Team All-NEC Linebacker and was presented with the Lt. Nick Lia Memorial Trophy, which is given to the best defensive player of the game during Wagner Weekend Homecoming. Tim is still one of the only Wagner Seahawks to be named an All-American at two different defensive positions.

Kelsey Rodgers '10; Women's Water Polo and Women's Swimming and Diving
A dual-sport aquatic athlete, Kelsey Rodgers made her mark as a goaltender for Women's Water Polo and participated in the breaststroke and freestyle events for Women's Swimming and Diving. As a member of the Women's Water Polo team during the 2010 season, Kelsey was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC, currently known as the Metro) Defensive Player of the Year for her work in net, leading all of Division I with 505 saves and a .633 save percentage while posting an 8.67 goals against average over 36 games played. During this season, she was cited by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) as an All-American and Honorable Mention selection. Her 14.02 saves per game during the 2010 season is the most in MAAC history and she was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week five times. In 2009, she registered 315 saves and a .621 save percentage while anchoring Wagner's top ranked defense, which allowed a league-best 7.41 goals per game. Kelsey was also named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week twice throughout the season. Her conference accolades for this season included earning MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, MAAC All-Conference First Team, and MAAC All-Academic Team selections. As a member of Swimming and Diving during the 2008-09 season, Kelsey ranked second on the team for her performance in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.29 during the Saint Peter's Quad Meet while claiming a third-place finish in the 500 breaststroke with a time of 5:48.72. She also finished fourth in the 200 breaststroke at the Rutgers Super Splash and third in the 100 butterfly against UNH.

Jack Scholz, Jr. '92, '94 (Master's); Football and Baseball
A standout student-athlete on both the gridiron and the diamond, Jack Scholz, Jr. holds many accolades from his time spent on Grymes Hill. As a member of the baseball team, Jack was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American and the NEC Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1993. That same year, he was also named the NEC Batting Champion, hitting for an astounding .418 average, which is currently third all-time in Seahawks history for a single season. This mark also earned Jack national recognition, as this was the 24th highest batting average in all of Division I baseball during the 1993 season. Jack is also third place all-time in Seahawks history in career batting average with a mark of .350. Additionally, he was named a First Team All-NEC member twice in his career and is the only Seahawk all-time to be named to the first team at two different positions (second base in 1992 and centerfield in 1993). He was a two time team captain in the 1992 and 1993 seasons and was also named the Team MVP in 1991 and 1993. A triple threat on the football field playing offense, defense, and special teams, Jack played quarterback, safety, punter, and punt returner during his time at Wagner. Jack was named to the First Team All-ECAC for his work as a safety during the 1991 season and was a two time team captain during the 1990 and 1991 seasons. He was also rewarded for his work in the classroom during this time, as Jack received the Dr. Michael Mazzei Award for Academic Excellence in 1989 and 1990.
