ERIE, Pa. – The Wagner College men's golf team competed at the Laker Fall Invitational this past weekend, finishing sixth overall in the tournament field hosted by Mercyhurst University.

The Seahawks posted rounds of 311, 291, and 298 for a 54-hole total of 900 (+36).

The Green & White were lead by senior Chris Solari, who turned in a strong showing with a three-round score of 224 (+8) to finish tied for 15th overall. Solari's second round stood out as he fired a team-best 71 (-1) to climb the leaderboard.

Freshman Anthony Rzeszutko and freshman Luke Salome both had solid performances for Wagner, tying for 19th place overall with matching three-round totals of 226 (+10). Rzeszutko demonstrated consistent play with scores of 76, 75, and 75, while Salome rebounded from an opening-round 80 to post consecutive rounds of 73 (+1) over the final two days.

Rounding out the Seahawks' lineup, junior Emilio Zapiain tied for 24th overall at 227 (+11), highlighted by an even-par 72 in the second round, while sophomore Cooper Joyce tied for 27th place with a 54-hole score of 230 (+14) after turning in rounds of 77, 76, and 77.

The Seahawks return to action on Saturday, October 3, when the Seahawks travel to Apalachin, N.Y., to compete in Binghamton University's Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational at The Links at Hiawatha Landing.
