BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Capping off his first year at the helm, head track & field coach Marvin Azor and his staff have been named the NEC Coaching Staff of the Year for the men's outdoor season.
Under Azor, the men's team captured the 2026 NEC Outdoor Championship in his first season. Alongside Azor, Alberto Garcia, Dolita Awala-Shaw, Kyle Duggan and Blerim Pocesta were honored by the conference. The NEC title was Wagner's first time winning the outdoor season since 2023.
In addition to the coaching staff recognition, 17 student-athletes were named to All-NEC teams for 22 events. Wagner earned eight first-team positions on the men's side and one on the women's, adding five All-NEC second team honors on the men's side and placing three on the All-Rookie squad.
Junior Jack Mason was named All-NEC first team for both long jump and triple jump after jumps of 7.75m and ****, respectively. He also took home Most Outstanding Field Performer of the meet's jumpers.
Freshman Noah Grant earns first team honors for both the 100m and 200m, as well as All-Rookie team for both events. He was chosen as Most Outstanding Rookie and Most Outstanding Performer of the sprinters.
Graduate Florian Hinry was named to the first team after winning gold in the 10,000m, opening the NEC Outdoor Championships with a big win that gave Wagner a lead it did not give up for the entire meet.
Senior Dante Rodney, a leader on the squad, won gold in the 400m hurdles, a massive win late in the meet that helped Wagner keep the lead as CCSU made a late scoring run. Rodney's 53.85-second time earns him a place on the All-NEC first team.
Wagner's 4x100 relay team — composed of senior Alex Taddeo, sophomore Julio Tatis, junior Shawn Keegan and Grant — won gold with a 41.91-second time, earning All-NEC first team honors for the finish.
Four Seahawks combined to sweep the field events on day one of the NEC Outdoor Championships, putting Wagner up 41 going into day two. Mason, senior Julio Martinez, senior Dario Sina de la Fuente and senior Christopher Milillo each hold a place on the All-NEC first team.
On the women's side, sophomore Christine Manneh was the leader for the Seahawks. She earned All-NEC first team honors for both the 100m and 200m, logging a 12.00-second time in the 100m and 24.55-second 200m.

Joining the track & field program from triathlon, Roldan-Casado finished seventh in the 3,000m steeplechase to close out her season, clocking in at 12:17.73 as one of two Seahawks competing in the event.
On the second team for the men, Taddeo earned a place for his silver-medal finish in the 100m, logging a 10.51-second time to finish just behind Grant. Tatis was named to the second team for his second-place finish in the 400m, a 47.94-second time in one of his four events at the meet.
