HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Wagner College women's golf team wrapped up play finishing in a tie for eleventh place of twelve teams at the St. John's Women's Invitational at Saint Andrew's Golf Club this past Monday and Tuesday.
Sophomore
Maria Calleja Pineda led the Seahawks with a 17th-place finish, posting a two-day total of +20 (83-79). Calleja Pineda carded a birdie on the seventh hole in Round 1 and added another on the 13th hole in Round 2.
Freshman
Lani Park finished 36th overall at +26 (81-87), while freshman
Palwasha Ali placed 52nd at +33 (89-86). Ali recorded four birdies across the tournament, including one on the opening hole, one on the 10th, and one on the 16th in Round 1, along with another birdie on the 17th hole in Round 2.
Senior
Emma Shelby rounded out the Wagner lineup, finishing 66th at +64 (99-107).
Next up, the Seahawks will continue their spring slate in a tri-match against La Salle and host Saint Joseph's, held at Union League Liberty Hill in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, April 12.
