BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Sophomore
Mia Goodale earned NEC Swimmer of the Week, and freshman
Lillian Clark earned Rookie of the Week for their performances against FAU and North Texas, the NEC announced on Wednesday.
This is Goodale's third Swimmer of the Week award of the season, and her second outright. For Clark, this is the first time she has won an NEC weekly award, and the first Rookie of the Week won by a Wagner swimmer this season.
Goodale and Clark started the meet in the 200-yard medley relay along with senior
Lia Vendel and sophomore
Lovisa Ramsten, finishing fourth with a time of 1:49.87. Goodale competed in three other events during the meet, finishing first in both the 200-yard (1:55.06) and the 500-yard (5:03.97) freestyle events.
Clark finished the meet with solid time all around. She finished the 50-yard freestyle event with a 25.59 time, the fastest among Wagner swimmers in the event. She also finished the 100-yard freestyle with a 56.13 time.
The NEC also announced that sophomore
Gaya Savran earned a Prime Performer nod for this week, the third time she has been named Prime Performer this season. At the meet, she finished second in both the 100-yard (57.74) and 200-yard (2:08.00) butterfly events.
The Seahawks return to the pool on Saturday, Jan. 17, traveling to face Seton Hall at the Arthur E. Imperatore Natatorium. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST.
